Michelle and Java Bradley started Java’s Compost in 2016 after learning about the important role that compost plays in helping restore valuable nutrients to our depleted soils.
The simple act of recycling food scraps quickly became a habit for them despite living in an apartment in Maplewood. Once they caught the composting bug, they knew they wanted to help other people think differently about their food waste and help them see it as resource instead of simply trash.
After several years of providing backyard composting services, they recently launched their door-to-door pickup service for residential and small-scale commercial customers. They are excited to spread the compost love by providing a simple, easy, and mess-free way to compost.
They live in the Gregory section of West Orange with their three sons and their new puppy.
